Don’t you find Max front fork crown/headset interface ugly? That’s what made me give up on my Max frames.

Whaaat. Max forks are the best.

Current setup for the girlfriends bike! Using an old hoyhoy rats frame (flatbar version) a mishmash of parts and dropbar! It’s actually not that bad! Nimble even!!

Didn't try and binned it as it was cheaper to get a second hand one but wished I did try to get it fixed though...

Yeah, that’s a good example of a very neat fork crown. I love the blades, but on the regular forks there is that collar that distance the crown from the bottom of the headtube and it really bothers me :P

I just wonder if that’s me or someone else have noticed it as well :P

Max forks are the best

Not with that crown they aren't. It may not be the worst of the Max crowns out there, but here are two which are definitely nicer.

New daily. Lee Cooper fixed and mostly functional. Took it on a 50km foray into the Yorkshire Dales this afternoon thinking I'd be fine on 44/17. Not so.

Pondering if yellow cables would suit it or if black is where it’s at. What does CP reckon?

Nevermind the Paselas as they’re placeholders for Corsa G+ 28mm.

The paint on these bikes are really REALLY brittle and chips just by looking at it. Might need a restoration paint down the line.

102mm BB for the Chorus 9 speed chainset is needed.

I also noticed that the front Chorus brake had some play between the brake nut and brake bolt. I guess I need another 6mm dia washer on there.
