if I have a particular vintage watch I would like, and I'd like a decent condition one, can i commission someone to find me one, and if so, who would I speak with in London to get that and how much would the commission be? I have very little knowledge so wouldn't feel comfortable doing it myself.

Slightly embarrassingly, a Breitling Giro D'Italia.

But all the ones I can find online look shit, I wouldn't know how to spot one with a fake modified dial (as they're just slightly modified versions of a much cheaper watch), and if I was to get one I'd like a nice one. What little I've ready seems to suggest there's quite a few fakes out there too.

Nothing embarrassing about a 50s/60s Breitling. Good looking watch.

I'd wear the black faced one, no dramas.

There no service like this that im aware of. I'm also not familiar with the Giro d'Italia but it looks like a predecessor of the Top Time of so you could perhaps start with the Spring Bar and work backwards if you want to learn to spot the fakes yourself.

Otherwise I would register an account on one of the forums, do some reading and place a WTB. Goes without saying, check references and selling history of any seller before parting with money.
