Sure you are, it’ll only cost double

There's one of those Steve Irwin Citizens on time factors I think. The Royal marine special Ed.
Pretty sure they are only 40mm, but very legible.

EDIT: This was the watch in my head:

Looks a little bare without the date and the red wr rating. Maybe just a date that doesn’t clash with the 3 as much?
-
• #31083
I agree that the date is a bit too close to the 3.
It's still my favourite analogue watch for under a ton though.

yeah i know..i later changed it to have the citizen above and the ecodrive below the center but cant find the photo.
main problem is the date its too close to the 3. and the wr100 is nothing to brag about and making it red!! -

Isn't wr100 basically just when the case isn't made of blotting paper?
I'd probably choose a seiko 5 over that for <100, but i like that the lumed numbers would actually be pretty easy to read in the dark. The seiko's tiny dots take me a while to figure out, as they haven't bothered to lume the big triangle at 12 for some reason.

The eco drive functionality is quite a strong selling point imo. You're getting a better watch (ignoring aesthetic preferences) for your money compared to Seiko5.

I flew BA for 20 hours last week but didn't pick up the magazine. I may have bought that if I had seen it.

Didn't actually know much about eco-drive - sounds quite cool. The only quartz i have is a Braun, which i really like but it seems to run out of juice ridiculously quickly for some reason.

Ha, i was thinking of 30m (and also being flippant). I really need something half decent 200m. Might get something divey for christmas...

That's always on offer in the BA mag. But it is definitely one of the better ones.
I once, way before I was into watches, bought my BiL a 'pilots' watch from an in-flight mag. A Breitling 'homage'. He's an actual small plane pilot and his expression was priceless. I doubt its ever been worn, not even the day I presented it to him.
I guess it's screw 'it's about the sentiment' malarkey.

I have been quietly lusting after this for a while but I couldn't find it anywhere in the UK, only the US. Now I can't find it at all... any idea? Edit (it's ref at0200-05e)

If anyone was tickled by the flags... there’s this one which could be a great beach-beater (if they take a low offer). Seen one of this model IRL in awful condition, was quite nice.

I'm sure this has been mentioned before but I can't get search to work...
I've just had my Sinn serviced and repaired by 'the watch guy'. Super nice, better priced than Sinn (esp given the EX rate) and really honest. Offered to do a quick fix and send it back for 30 quid. The case clasp had snapped and was jamming the movement.
You can also see pics of the whole process as he uploads them to your customer area. I'm just giving him some props as it's not that easy to find and y'all into time pieces. As I said, sure you're all over it so consider this another recommendation.
I put the cash I saved toward a G shock so I can stop wearing the Sinn 24/7 and hopefully extend the time till the next service.
Picked up a G-shock steel with the carbon bezel for a good price and so far liking the totaly OTTness of it. And the fact it has Saph glass in it unlike my previous Gs.

Does anyone have any ideas of how to get my hands on a recent special edition Swatch? I stupidly saw it on the website a week or so ago, and stupidly didn't buy straight away and now it has disapeared off the website. I went into a swatch store, and they rang around and couldn't find one. Anyone got any bright ideas beyond biting the bullet and buying off eBay? Its this one https://www.ablogtowatch.com/swatch-colourshift-watch-celebrates-175-years-of-the-economist-magazine/
