Fucking archers in Anor Londo!
I died 15 times running the ramps.Eventually I figured it out and now have a bonfire with Solaire hanging out near by, which is nice.

• #20053
Be nice to Solaire. He can be useful later.
You've got smaugh and ornstien ahead. Go to ornstien first for a slightly easier win...
Good luck -

I'm nice to everyone!
Especially SunBrosI've heard O&S might be a challenge...

or smough first for a pretty decent ring (depending on build)

Currently upto 7 of 8 valkryies, just got the hidden one in Niflheim to do. Currently trying to grind the mist echoes, fuck me its a ball ache.
Really want to get onto the realm tears up the hill and then take on the Valkyrie, then head over to jotunheim.. -
• #20057
The valkyrie is pretty easy, he was the first one I did.
you go do the first room, go left, do the next fight then you'll hit a room after the next set of spikes with a left turn and a straight ahead, go through the spikes on the left and you fight them in there.

I'm loving the horses glitch in RDR2;

Ha. Just got it today, I can totally understand this.
Controls seem quite slow and Cinematic Mode is like when you ride freewheel for the first time after months and months on a fixed.
Only a couple hours in, but I accidentally punched my horse when trying to get a gun and I feel really bad.

More like riding fixed and forget you can't coast for a moment second.

This happened to me, my horse ran into some other guy and then he shot me
-
• #20062
This, was trying to slow down bump this guy who told me to watch it next thing he'd shot me. Also found that even though there was no one around to me murdering some idiot who picked a fight with me, it flashed up as witness has reported you. This was in the middle of nowhere.

So I'm pretty early in to RDR2, only bought it yesterday. I just killed the bear, it says I can sell the skin somewhere but I'm not sure where so I've just dumped it in my camp. Anyone know where I can sell it? Also I read somewhere that I can sell stolen things to a fence but can't find one.
-
• #20064
I somehow lost my bearskin before I figured it out, but I think the trapper might be your man.
-
• #20065
You sell legendary skins to the trapper. He's a black circle with a paw print in it on the map.
You get the fence after a mission with Hosea. Just do one or two of those and he'll show up on the map too.
-
• #20066
All legendary skins area automatically transferred to the trapper as soon as they're skinned - even if you die; you just wont get the money from selling it to him.
This means you can still create the outfit.

Ta. Fancy hats await! I'm finding the game pretty tedious and slow tbh, my heart's not really in it. Plus I'm trying to be Good and it keeps wanting me to punch innocents, whereas I'd rather just menace them a bit.
-
• #20068
That’s good to know. I managed to get the bear but lost the skin at the camp somehow and have t found a trapper yet. I want that hat.
-
• #20069
I'm loving the game; it's definitely slow paced but that's a nice departure from Forza or first-person shooters etc.
Kind of relaxing in a murderous sort of way.

the trapper has a camp north-east of emerald city farm, his main shop in saint-denis and another camp in the south-west of the map which i've not been to yet.
just spent every minute of few hours playing yesterday going hunting. there are murder machines everywhere along the top of the map, some of which are capable of sneaking up on you before becoming a threat. is nice to just go traipsing through the undergrowth shooting without fear of wanted levels or the like. genuinely felt off when i got back into civilisation.
pro-tip: study your prey through binoculars from a distance instead of trying to sneak up on them, the show info will then tell you what weapon gives a perfect pelt. the rifles pretty much do for anything big from miles away = the easiest way of hunting. small critters are a fucker though.
dead eye once levelled up enough will highlight weak spots in red when aiming the shot to help get a clean kill.
if you get killed with pelts on your horse and they're gone when you resurrect reload the quicksave if it's around the current time and you'll be in pretty much the same spot with your pelts intact.

oh has anyone come across the KKK random encounters yet? if not and you see lots of fire off in the woods go investigate. they do a good job of lampooning them and you can kill them happily (though i've never done it in front of a witness). last grand wizard I saw took a nap on the railway lines.
-
• #20073
Same. It's like "shoot the wolves, protect your pal", I'm like "nooooo just the let poor baby wolves rip us to shreds!"
-
• #20074
Haha yes i came across the KKK twice yesterday, second time he immediately asked me to give him a break and leave him alone lol.
I have to say i do love this game and i was very doubtful i would.
I get about 90 minutes a night on it and having run out of missions to do, found myself levelling up the challenges.
I did make the mistake of thinking i had to run over rabbits on my horse rather than shoot them from horseback, this was frustrating. -

WHAT?! That is awesome.
I didn't have a chance to play last night.
Also, has anyone encountered the bug that a lot of people are suffering from whereby John, Abigail and the blonde women (forgot her name) are not in the camp?
It fixes itself in the 4th chapter but for me, it would ruin some of the camp conversations you have going on so I'd probably want to start again.
Hoping to get some time to play tonight, beer quantity and an early night home pending.
Actually not a terrible game to play in the pub :')
