Ha, yeah in previous years maybe. This year I was all about banging out a 49 before TABR so I was way down on volume. The problem with me and mountain biking is that it seems like a good idea when I'm sat in an office and then I get out there and I instantly regret my decision.
It's dirty, it hurts, I have zero skill so I'm constantly crashing or being passed both of which sap motivation. But then you should do what you're not good at to improve, right? And at least I'd be able to say I raced 24 mtb solo.
Hmm, I can afford to throw away £82 but do I want to? What are the chances that after 4 weekends of 600s and a Metallica gig I'll actually give two shits about a MTB race?
