It's a £60k car on finance. The council initially sent out a form declaring that they'll valet the vehicles, but that won't work and a detailer already shook his head.
So I've got to get the car back to new now, because if not I'll face a huge bill in a few years.
Hopefully the third party will fully cover it and my premiums won't be too severely affected, only minorly so. But it's got to be done
So are you claiming through your insurance?
We had someone go into the back of our car 3 years ago at a traffic light and caused maybe £1k of damages. They admitted fault, we didn't lose our no claims and it was covered by their insurance.
Our premium still rose 20% (and will do until 5 years has passed) because of it...
Hate to think what will happen if you're claiming against your insurance for a full write off.
