The Spurs game last night was due to take place on Sunday. It was switched with fairly short notice as the new stadium was not ready and an American Rugby game was booked for Wembley for the Sunday.
The late switch and the move to a Monday night would have caused considerable inconvenience. Spurs fans travel further to games than supporters of any other club. Mid week matches create problems for people who have to get home to Hertfordshire or wherever.
