I'd actually somehow forgotten that you can just turn the radiator off.

Although on closer inspection I'm not sure whether I should be turning this:

Neither has anything obvious on it.

Top one clearly does say something on it, and it has serrated finish which suggests that it's made for turning.

Bit of dusting wouldn't go amiss :-)

I hadn't noticed that, that does look promising.

I did say that I use the room infrequently, cleaning the rooms I use is tough enough (and there may be some building work going on there too).
