  • A "quote" out of context, produced by a rat-journalist from The Times, who's proud to have the defenestration of Hoddle on his cv; and I'm less inclined than you to side with opportunistic politicians from Tony Blair downwards, who jumped on the bandwagon and effected Hoddle's dismissal from the England job. And because of all that crap, people like you think that he's not entitled to sympathy and respect when he's poorly. Nice.

  • His views are the absolute antithesis of sympathy.

  • What context would that “quote” be acceptable and from my understanding the subsequent superiority associated.

    I’m not that familiar with the details but recall the uproar at the time. Not sure why someone who lacks respect or decency for others should be given it.
