  • You could do, but I’d be careful in case someone decides to charge you for a full clean/service which is pointless. You could ask for a quote for a movement replacement, or even provide the spare movement by buying one yourself. If you don’t get any reasonable estimates then wait a month or two and I may be able to take a look (I’ve done my BHI quartz exams, and these are fairly simple).

  • I don't suppose you know anything about accurist quartzes do you?

    I've got a chronograph about twenty years old that I've been trying to get repaired for sentimental reasons but have drawn a blank so far.

  • Will ask for estimates and let you know. But tbh, more than happy to wait if you want to have a go, as sentimental value will double if it gets fixed by a fellow lfgss member. Let me know if you do and I will deliver or post it to you
