Jam or chutney?

Now, there’s a worthwhile dilemma. Got a chutney recipe that would do them proud?

I'll dig out the Damson chutney recipe I used. Key ingredient: freshly ground Allspice. I found some whole corns(?) in Southall. Some remain. PM for some by post.

So, sloe gin. Once the gin-based bit is exhausted, anything useful I can do with thoroughly infused sloes? Seems a shame to just compost them.

We made some jam with our gin blackberries, it was by no means bad, just different!

Last time I made sloe gin we blended up the infused sloes and made dark chocolate truffles with them.

My workmates mum does the truffle thing, he raves about how great they are

Must be nettle season soon.

Yeah was thinking that. Have been getting into making our own pasta in the last few months, and looking forward to making a nettle version when they start springing up.

I think these are three cornered leeks? Lots in the hedgerows round here. Anyone got a pickling / preserving recipe?
