He doesn’t announce prices until the day they go on sale. However, the original 41mm cost £245 until they ran out.
So, for the new models add the cost of a sapphire crystal and extending clasp, a few quid for inflation, and I’d expect both to be in the low three hundreds. The 41mm goes on sale on Tues, so maybe take a few quid off that price for the 36mm. And yeah, everyone wants the 36mm.

I seem to remember that he hinted that the price would be a little more for both models, partly because the devaluation of GBP against EUR and CHF
The pound was over 20% stronger against the CHF when he had the last batch made.

True, although his watches aren’t made in Germany any more - Kemmner has apparently retired, and these are being made in HK.

The new PRS-29A is just over £400 isn't it? That's without a bracelet, so I'd have thought the Everests would be around the £400-450 mark.

Found this gift in our loft that I'd forgotten about and thought of you.
Been meaning to put a battery in it for the last 10yrs

Focus...!

Yes, but they have ETA movements, whereas the Everests have (relatively) cheap Miyotas.
My guess still starts with a 3, but we’ll see.

I might need a new strap. Can you get Nato's that small?
-
• #30938
You can... but these kinda straps are way more fun:

Ah, right - I'd not realised they were Miyota-based. Starting with a 3 would make the purchase much easier to justify; fingers crossed!

Put it on your wrist rather than on your leg!

It stopped completely last night... shall I take off the battery and send it somewhere local that deals with quartz movements?
-
• #30942
You could do, but I’d be careful in case someone decides to charge you for a full clean/service which is pointless. You could ask for a quote for a movement replacement, or even provide the spare movement by buying one yourself. If you don’t get any reasonable estimates then wait a month or two and I may be able to take a look (I’ve done my BHI quartz exams, and these are fairly simple).

I really like these, I just can't get past the idea that if it wasn't car related it'd be much cheaper though, if you understand what I'm saying?
-
• #30944
I don't suppose you know anything about accurist quartzes do you?
I've got a chronograph about twenty years old that I've been trying to get repaired for sentimental reasons but have drawn a blank so far.

• #30945
Cheers. Will have to have see what the price is when it's out. I could probably justify under £300, pushing it after that.

Listened to this fun clock strike midday earlier. Apparently it's the 2nd oldest working clock in the world

I can't find the post now but I'm sure I remember he said it'd be under £300. I guess we'll find out soon enough.
-
• #30948
Will ask for estimates and let you know. But tbh, more than happy to wait if you want to have a go, as sentimental value will double if it gets fixed by a fellow lfgss member. Let me know if you do and I will deliver or post it to you

Still wanna hawk this, if anyone is interested.
Cronel Jet-King - working, keeps time within a minute if I remember correctly
Spares/repairs sold for £30, someone wants £90 in Finland for a heavily worn one.
£50 posted in the UK?If £50 posted by special delivery seems too expensive, make me an offer, and I’ll send it first class signed-for instead.

See if you can take the back off and get a movement brand and model number. May be simplest to substitute the whole movement for a chrono.
I'm really getting into the Alkin Model 1.
If/when they put it on general sale, I'd highly recommend buying one.
