Hence why you live in the Fens.

One of their many charms, yep. I'm heading back there, sat in 1st Class, with the entire compartment to myself. Lovely sweet solitude. Almost makes life bearable.

Needed some new winter bibs without a pad and couldn't resist the Classic Winter tights at 40% off (£84) at Wiggle/CR.
Am mildly tempted to take advantage of other bargains and load up on the CC. Any tips on essential purchases in the stuff they're offloading?

Okay this is mostly my fault but I messed up my shipping address on a recent Rapha order by forgetting one line (the first time having something sent to an address in Hungary) and so I emailed customer service. Their response was that they can’t do anything to alter a shipping address once the order has been submitted even though my order has not been dispatched or i’m guessing even been packed (ordered on Saturday emailed Monday morning). Does this not seem a little bit strange surely it can’t be that difficult to be able to help?

I would keep trying to ask them to fix it. Have you used the online chat? I have had different responses from different operators in the past...

Thanks, I should of thought of that but unfortunately got the email that’s it’s been dispatched now, will try going through DPD (the courier) instead.

Merino Base layers, long sleeve and short sleeve/sleeveless, merino hat, pro team bib shorts (summer and winter), wind and rain jackets..
That should sort you.. -

Good old Wiggle. My platinum discount (20% at the moment) does not count for Rapha full price items. So the classic winter jacket £260 on Wiggle...

my Core winter tights with pad arrived... without pad. Wouldn't be quite so annoying if I hadn't emailed them pre-purchase to double check and was told yes, they come with pad. When I emailed to complain I was told that they're already aware of the problem, had removed them from sale, and I'm welcome to send them back. I asked them why, having already queried it pre-sale, if this was their service standard I shouldn't just buy direct from Rapha and got no reply...
Thanks for fuck all then, Wiggle!

The Wiggle situation seems quite messy. I don’t get the feeling Wiggle and Rapha are reading from the same sheet and example;
The new version of the Pro Team Race Cape has been released on the Rapha site; £220. The older version is only on the Wiggle site also for £220... -

I've lost my essentials case, with all of my (uh) essentials in.
It's been missing long enough that I am replacing the stuff.
Does anyone have one they don't use and want to sell? Standard size, not large.

New windblock winter vs Brevet windblock?
vs
Old windblock winter on wiggle (if it's still there) -

I went to the shop yesterday to ask the winter vs brevet question. the winter jersey is much thicker than the brevet one. i guess they have the same windproofing on the front but the non-windproofed parts are different.
i was going to get the brevet in the 25% off sale but decided not to because i don't think it would be useful enough for me. the woman in the shop suggested it was more for spring/autumn rather than winter.

Hmmm
Will think and look at budget. -

Considered the Pro team Training Jacket?
-
• #32142
the brevet one is much lighter, i couldn't wear it at this time of year.
I have two of the winter jerseys and use them on rotation at this time of year.
I also use the Core winter jacket a lot, in lieu of being able to get a pro team training jacket last year.

The new version of the Pro Team Race Cape has been released on the Rapha site; £220. The older version is only on the Wiggle site also for £220...I placed an order on the 25th for a Rapha brevet jacket on Wiggle, checked today - order not yet processed. Cancelled it, as there was no indication that this situation was going to change.
Teething problems maybe, but currently it's a fuckup.

The irony here being that I ordered via Wiggle because Rapha themselves have moved to using Hermes, and I wanted to actually receive my parcel.
-
• #32145
I’m wondering if the supply/sale contract between Rapha and Wiggle has loads of holes in it particularly around allowed discounts and they’ve pulled all the deals for now.

As others said, brevet windblock is too light really. Very niche shoulder season product. Winter windblock is pretty heavy. I'd go for a PT training jacket.

Get a perfetto.

Is for commuting in the winter. -
