I’m probably not going to buy until the new year. Though I could try to persuade my missus to get me as a Christmas present!

*god of war update - 3 Valkyrie down, 5 to go. Narrative wise, just about to head over to jotunheim, but wanting to kill Valkyrie before I continue. Niflheim is kicking my ass.

grind the mist armor asap and stack the runes that protect against the mist.

best way to get echoes is by running in and doing the first two fighting areas picking up chests as you go then running to the next cross roads and picking up any chests from the spike traps off of it then returning to the start and starting again.

for the fights its worth going with rune damage and using the power moves with high damage and area of effect, you can usually wipe out a lot of the room by the time you've used all 4 power moves and your gauntlet attack if equipped.

also if you need extra mist echoes you can sell the rarer collectibles that drop in there to the dwarves to amass them quicker as they're easy to get more of once you're fully powered up.

and if the first room is full of those revenant witch things I just run out again and try again, they take way too long.

I just pre-ordered RDR2 on a punt that it downloads and installs in the next two hours. Not actually got the energy in me to play for long so this download bar is probably the most fun I'll have with the game tonight.

Thanks will give that a go, have the chest armour but haven’t been speccing out the rest as I’ve been hunting valkyries, 4 down, 4 to go.
Usually only get half an hour to an hour in between dad duties and most of the time it’s a toss up between playing games and getting sleep. I usually take sleep..

I've spent the four hours solid playing it and it's incredibly detailed and beautiful. Really a step up in world building.

Not really done much of the story yet but seems to be the same rockstar vibe.

Done two really interesting side missions too. One of which took nearly half of my play time so far.

Just downloaded Torque drift from the app store, bloody hard, but seems like I'll keep at it or throw my phone at a wall!
Pretty good if you're into cars doing sik whip skids.

Red Dead will get purchased when it's a tenner, put over 20 minutes into the 1st one, should maybe revisit one day...

Dark Souls Remastered on the Switch is most fun.

You know you can bypass most of blight town going in the back door past the trolls if you have the master key.

It comes on 2 discs, one of which has to be completely installed. I had a feeling the copying and uncompressing may take a while.

The day-one patch is after that. It's only 3GB, but that may take a while from PSN's sluggish servers.
