The very nice F300 from yesterday urged me to this today. From 1975 it was a company 25year anniversary watch, but came complete with boxes and papers. Love the hum.

It was my grandad's, he was in the Fleet Air Arm so presumably he was issued it and never gave it back. Not one to follow rules, that man.

I actually took it to the Antiques Roadshow recently, they were filming down the road. That Richard Price guy said he didn't know what it was but was "fairly certain it was military, not the original strap, and probably worth £200 at best"
There are better experts on LFGSS, that's for sure.

My Braun AW20 (1990s) has started behaving erratically. Already replaced the battery 🔋 without much luck and it seems Braun do not service this watch anymore... Do you know of anyone that could repair or replace the quartz movement but keeping the original hands?
Tbh I know is not a great piece but I love the watch and won’t mind if it has a new movement fitted (31mm case) as long as it works and does not cost £££. Any tips? Based near Brixton but happy to post

Know what movement is inside? That helps decide a lot of things. Likely there’s a Miyota to match it.

Makes me smile whenever I put it on, it's a watch I have no reservations about - which I wish I could say about my Railmaster.

That's actually really nice, as well as being a decent GMT execution.

What's wrong with your Railmaster?

Some days I love it, others I wish the lume was white. A lot depends on the quality of the light on the day in question.

I went and tried on a very unfussy navitimer last weekend. I loved it. I havent worn a watch for years though. I have started wearing a cheapy just to try and see if wearing one will annoy me too much. And then we will think about the money
Those hands are so. damn. sexy.
