My Braun AW20 (1990s) has started behaving erratically. Already replaced the battery 🔋 without much luck and it seems Braun do not service this watch anymore... Do you know of anyone that could repair or replace the quartz movement but keeping the original hands?
Tbh I know is not a great piece but I love the watch and won’t mind if it has a new movement fitted (31mm case) as long as it works and does not cost £££. Any tips? Based near Brixton but happy to post
Most of them are Ronda movements. You can usually clean the bearings and lubricate them without having to fully disassemble. However, you need a proper quartz testing machine like a Witschi to prove that the current draw has dropped down to within the manufacturer’s spec.
