Mavic Aksiums, done nearly 15,000 miles of courier work on them

I am not sure what qualities I should really be looking for in a wheelset that will be used for commuting/courier work all year round

At a guess, I'd say wheels with Mavic stickers on the hubs and Aksium stickers on the rims 😀
I don't think spending more than twice as much on Hunt is going to get you any more durability, still less twice as much.

I was going to say I'd get RS11s instead, but I know that's not true as I like nice shiny things.
