I was assuming the disabling of notification emails. Otherwise, following a thread doesn't really do much.

True, I don't use the Following page much either.

I did just discover that it also shows people's comments in reply to your own comments, which can be handy. Would be cool if you could filter those from the list of threads that you 'follow' that have new comments (that's what most of the Following page is filled with for me at least).

Firefox Quantum 62.0.3, only running one plugin, which is uBlock Origin. Nothing has changed as far as I can tell

Whenever this has been reported to me in the past, it's always been an adblocker.

The only exceptions are when there's a map or video embed, but those are hand vetted and are major partners only.

I've nuked them all and hidden the thread.

It's still visible to those who know how, which isn't Mamnick and his many aliases and trolls.
