I have put flat bars (Alpkit Confucius) on my Cotic Escapade, the plan being to make it into more of a functional commuter/everything bike. Excuse the hoses, I'll cut them down when I have settled on position etc.
Re the bars: any views on how wide is too wide for a London commute? Specifically, I'm a bit uneasy about 760mm bars on the Embankment superhighway, where I'm constantly being buzzed by mamils (no offence to those of you on here) rushing home from the City. Should I chop them down (the bars, not the fellow cyclists)?
Yeah it feels like it will be fun! Great bikes I think. Getting a pizza rack for on the front and have some guards to put on when it gets wet. Hopefully won't find out too violently whether the bars are too wide!
