Has anyone seen a Farer in the flesh? This is really speaking to me:

I like ‘em. Not enough to actually buy one yet, though.

Seems like one of the only reasonably price mechanical GMTs that I like aesthetically, along with a Christopher Ward one but the CW logo makes me want to be sick.

While we’re on UK brands, this lot are making beautiful enamel-dialled automatic watches just round the corner from my old flat in the west end of Glasgow:

Company called anOrdain, which is difficult to see on the dial in that image.

I know what you mean. I like plenty of individual CW watches, but I can’t get on board with the brand. Not sure why.

Just made an offer on a Sinn on Chrono24, this Friday WRUW is feeding the beast.

Oh those are very nice indeed.

The typeface is inspired by OS maps, apparently. I like that they’ve chosen something to concentrate on and do well in the enamel dials. This model isn’t for me, occupies similar territory in my mind as my NOMOS Club does, but I’ll be interested to see what they put out in future.

Came across this old Omega advert the other day. Whilst not the same exact model of tuning fork I own (f300) it puts into perspective where the value purchases lie today. I paid £300 for the hummer and ten times that for the Speedmaster, both are from 1979.
