Nice!

Thanks a lot.
Definately the most comfortable bike I've ever had.
And no stinking toe overlap like on my Genesis Vagabond. -

Now living in the US. Not sure how much they charge for shipping but I just got some Dyna-Snap’s. If a bulk of people want some I can order them and ship them back to the UK altogether.

I don't know if I'm just being a contrarian, but really don't mind the long chainstays.
My Intec that I posted further up has 10mm shorter chainstays than a disc trucker and it rides like a dream. The blue lug build could do with larger rubber tho.

It's a touring bike, it needs to be that length to spread the load when fully laden.

I can agree with that! Looking back, that must have been my most negative comment to date. But maybe you're right, maybe untukt is the new tukt! And maybe contrarian is the new word for hipster too :D
@edscoble Need is a very strong word ;)

I agree it was a bit harsher than usual ;)
I'm not really that worried about wheter untukt is the new tukt. I just know what I like, even if it deviates from the forum norm.

disc trucker
This is the ideal make bike. You may not like it, but this is what peak performance looks like

That or an Intec M1 Disc.
Same geometry, less sexy fork but 130€ less . -

Smashing! Rolling on silver rims to boot. Frikking love it. 26isreal!

Second one is actually 650b I reckon. Still hot tho!

TBH, an unladen Long Haul Trucker isn't very much fun to ride as it's quite stiff unladen.

Definitely gonna build silver rims for the Elephant NFE, hugely underrated.

Funny thing that.
I have never ridden a Surly Trucker, but I like how stiff my Intec feels. And with 55mm tyres on 30mm internal rims at 2 bar, it really rides smoothly.
In comparison I consider my Genesis Vagabond a little too noodly. -

I love my 700x41c trucker. Ed’s right in that it’s a bit stiff unladen but it’s absolutely perfect for what it’s meant for.
My biggest gripe is that it just feels far too sluggish at times for group rides. The lht goes at whatever pace it decides is correct with zero fucks given. It’s usually either walking pace or what feels insanely fast and stable while descending.
