Damn, the cable went right through the axle?
Yeah still using the DA cables on mine though I don't ride it much. Feel like I need to go and check that the cable isn't rubbing my crank axle now. At least its replaceable on SI cranks. Think my red cranks would be for the bin if they wore through. -
I think the 109mm is the right length for the caad12 which is bb30a. You can fit it to yours no problem though, you just need the right size spacer iirc

I have a slightly used 109mm axle you can have for cheaps if interested.
Bought a chainset on here couple of months ago with a used axle, replaced it with a new one so have the used one spare.
