Must be as the ones you have in the pic have no ratchets on them. Think I need to do a bit of Googling to refresh my old brain!

Than you're too small for it. I'm definitely not! Sell it to me!
I'd listen to an offer on it.

It's so bloody nice. I'm glad it's not my size. Probably 21" or abouts? And I'm afraid it's beyond my budget...

Euh, yes, @thebrenthamtaffy that's the younger version of me racing the Grundig Qualification series (failed them...). :)

Looking for some pedals for my latest Muddy Fox courier, is it worth buying some second hand 90's Deore LX jobs or similar or will the races all be shot by now? If so is there a forum recommended Wellgo or similar replacement? Or am I just better off getting some DMR V12s and being done with it...

I really like race face Chester pedals, cycled across America on them and now they're on my fox.

It was super tough indeed. I remember there were about 6 to 700 qualification riders (Houffalize was one of the most famous of the European World Cup races) and only the best 10% were allowed to ride the final (together with those that qualified in earlier races that year). It was my very first year of competition (and I was still studying and didn't invest lots of time in training) so I never really hoped to make it through the qualifications. It was just for fun and fun we had! I never really went international either, just did the National Series and was happy to find myself among the first 20 in the results. These were mixed races (Elite with and without contract in the same race) so not really very motivating though. But yes, it was big fun. It was all very "chill" and one could just have a small chat with John Tomac, Ned Overend or Tinker Juarez at the local bakery the day before the race. :-)

Sounds awesome! Never managed to make it to a Grundig event. In the UK we just had the World Cup visit Plymouth which was a bit of a trek, but in hindsight wish I'd made more effort to watch. Lucky man bumping into such legends as Tomac, Overend and Juarez. Very jealous! :)

The time has come, I am selling my Bridgestone MB, it's either a zip as I was sold, or a 1, it's been painted, but has the Zip ivory colour under and came with the Zip turbo saddle they made for it.
Currently running deore XT 1x7, I think....Need to pull it out and clean it up.
Will do that and post pictures.looking around £200 with a few extras ono
