I ran Orkney marathon with a cold in full swing.
After a few miles, HR was over 175 when it would normaly have been around 150- 155 for the effort, so knew it wasn't going to end well. Made it to 18 miles, pacing a team mate, but then the inevitable wall appeared and had to walk for a good while.
Finished with a time I'd normaly cover a marathon on an easy long run. However Strava Suffer score was over 600 and if took weeks to recover from 😳
