The Gauge based versions were nice, but too pricey for a shoe that self destructed after about 12 months use. Maybe the new ones will be a bit more durable.
Maybe you got a duff pair. Mine have held up very well so far, although I use them for touring not crossering.
Yeah I raced XC and CX on mine. Had two pairs. Destroyed toe box and heal tread way before the rest of the shoe was ready for the bin.
Compared to dominators they are made of cheese, but I guess you could say that about most racey XC shoes.
