• Nothing about Patrick Seabase is typical, and everything about him will leave an impression. Whether that’s his tattoo’s, how he rides bikes (fixed and fast) or dresses (mostly in black), but most likely it will be his super friendly and open personality - because he has every reason in the world to act like a badass. Patrick’s fixed gear exploits on huge mountain passes in the Alps and Pyrenees have catapulted him into fame. Enduring gruelling, low cadence climbs to the top of Alpine giants to scorch the downhill on the other side trailing a smell of burning rubber as he substitutes skidstopping for brakes is his thing. Exhilirating? Yes. Madness? That too.

You guys, he dresses in BLACK (mostly). Revolutionary.

    Shit fixie skidders say >>>

  • His youtube and Vimeo clips are nice, fair play to him for taking fixed up and down mountains, especially for the joy of it, but that paragraph has lots of dumb things going on.

  • Yeah, what I've seen of him makes him seem like a pretty normal dude who's a strong rider that likes doing tough routes on a track bike.

But no one seems to know how to write about him or make films about these rides without diving headfirst into "he rides brakeless in the mountains!!11!!!1!1" nonsense.
