Sometimes I do wonder which is more merciful? To let it go back into the wild and possibly die later or let the cat kill it, so at least it's quicker...
So far I have tried to let them go whenever I can and will probably take them to the vet again if it happens again, but it's annoying that they just kill for fun.

I've let her out again and shes gone straight for the pigeons. I hope she doesn't catch it again, or at least bring it home...
