Maybe he has had learning difficulties - Maybe he's a real nice guy who doesn't condemn others for their literary shortcomings.

It's Bristol not London, he's probably the school teacher ;-)

Oh come on. I'm sure everybody on Ebay with a shitty description has learning difficulties. I really do think asking for periods at the end of sentences is not too much to ask for, sorry.

This is the UK we are talking about!! Numbskulls right left and centre

I know what you mean . -Ebay is full of the "nuovo-retard " and it is particularly annoying when people deliberately mislead or write bollocks but sometimes I think that some people are maybe just not as fortunate to have been educated like wot we was.

"nuovo-retard "
I got to remember that one :D
I get what you're saying, and I wouldn't be pointing it out if there were just 'some' mistakes. But the total lack of structure while the grammar and spelling is largely correct to me points towards someone who just didn't want to put two minutes of thought into their listing, rather than someone who genuinely tried, but struggles.

• #60333
Yes - I see your point.
"nuovo-retard" is a term I coined to describe the new , media savy, up and coming and more dynamic idiot that we often encounter these days. -

What would be a reasonable offer for said biek?

Similar spec would have been over £1k here (sold out). Have to say, I've no idea how this new offer when there's no BIN price works. Assume you're supposed to offer more than the start price. Maybe the seller doesn't know much about it and just wants rid, so start low and go from there, would be a lot of bike for under £200-£250 if the seller was game.
-
• #60336
Yes thanks, looking at completed listings for older worse spec looks to be £350+
-
• #60337
You can offer less than the start price, maybe worth a shot!
-
• #60338
Also probably worth collecting it in person and checking for any cracks/dents as it doesn't look like they've spend a great deal of time on the details of the bike.

As my sister who works in 'business' once told me 'If you're not embarrassed of your first offer, it's not your first offer'.

Another Paris-Tours tandem: https://www.leboncoin.fr/velos/1506156243.htm/
Tempted to get it and go matchy-matchy with my Paris-Tours road bike but it's rather tiny.
Also there's a decent looking Ganolo and a Gilles Berthoud built Rando Cycles tourer fairly cheap
-
• #60348
Ganolo is 53 :-(

Very economical on the postage. There's currently (until 8pm) a voucher code for 10% off - PUMPKINS - which makes it even cheaper!
Jesus Christ it should be legal to force some people to go back to school.
Is this from some poetry slam?
