• Mobile will struggle with that , needs to be ready shaped, depends how much you can access the inside of that panel (they are often double skinned) to nead it back to flat. Worst bit is right at the bottom of the metal panel gap, nasty little crease in it.
With some heat, some quality primer , bit of dolphin glaze and some paint youd get that 90-95% perfect for around £200-300 (more if London).
Won't last forever, maybe 3-5 years and it'll probably blister as the coating on the panel is damaged.

  • thanks, @brickman - are you saying that a bricks and motar specialist place would likely be able to do a better/longer lasting job?

A friend did it to the car so looking to get some quotes so she can decide to either pay or claim on her insurance.

  • It's more that proper paint takes a fair bit of prep and that's easier to achieve when your not sat on the side of the road under a pop up tent . And then time, many products require fairly specific timing between coats, again not easily achieved by the side of the road. Not saying it can't be done, but imo I would say that's too much damage for a road side operation to do well. If it was a boggo model then maybe acceptable but if it's a vxr, worth getting done right.
Would expect it to be in a body shop for 3 -4 days, £250-350 + south east tax if that's where you live.
