As usual: Max is next level... will keep an eye out.

10p a litre is a comparatively pretty high running cost on the filters though.
a brita maxtra will do 100l and even at the cost price per single filter (£5.50) that's only slightly more than half the cost at 5.5p/litre. if you buy the bigger multipacks it drops closer to 3.5p/litre

Brita filtered water tastes fucking weird though

A brita filter didn't stop my old machine scaling up at all.

Have we had any discussion on the frank green cup?
Missus is interested in getting one and wondered what the forum hivemind thought -
• #15207
Yeah mine makes the water nice, but the kettle still scales up, just a bit more slowly.

• #15208
I have one, it’s great.

• #15209
got one as well, the small size is perfect for flat whites, seems to be fully sealed when closed and the button on top stays in open position until you click it again so it's nice to drink from with the lid on.
I've taken to using it as my coffee cup at home too.

I have that one, does a great job keeping the coffee warm for ages.
Timer function is wonderful.
Set it up the night before, goes off half an hour before I get up, hot and waiting for my sleepy face to enjoy.5 out of 7, would coffee again.

so was I. Great coffee but everyone looked utterly miserable. They were probably just focused, but the whole vibe was down

I brewed the above Ashenafi Hailie today, v60 split over breakfast & flask. V.nice, especially the 100ml or so that was near cool at the end of the day.
Would love to visit them in Berlin, should go before March 2019 really.

My Gaggia Classic has just died after a sterling 12 years of service.
However I’m very excited as I have this coming next week.
