10p a litre is a comparatively pretty high running cost on the filters though.
a brita maxtra will do 100l and even at the cost price per single filter (£5.50) that's only slightly more than half the cost at 5.5p/litre. if you buy the bigger multipacks it drops closer to 3.5p/litre
