Hi Ken,
Nothing wrong with your eyes - It's a Corima flexible valve extender - the original valve is removed and this goes in it's place. It has a short flexible section inbetween the two alloy sections and allows easier access on disc wheels. I used it on this wheel as I didn't have a long valved inner tube when I took the pics ( I have one now but am quite happy to sell wheel with either set up)
