I'll try and get an Excel spreadsheet as well as banging everything on a slightly more helpful Google Calendar on the AeroCoach site (like this years here https://www.aero-coach.co.uk/events) - I find that easier to navigate than the CTT site.
I'm now the Midland CTT club event secretary so will make sure all the Midland club events are somewhere helpful, as well as a calendar of all opens that are willing to have a separate road bike category in with the main field.

Thanks again. I find your google sheet very useful.

Top work, thank you

Looks like I may be entering the local 10 next season as somebody has gifted me a damaged frame that I'm trying to save... If you were explaining in very basic terms how to train over the winter what would the hive mind suggest?

Over winter? Ride your bike.
-
• #18582
You certainly filled the brief :) Fair comment is fair

u have turbo?
-
• #18584
And if it's a TT bike, ride your TT bike so you get used to the position.
-
• #18585
Basically, volume trumps specific sessions. So the more riding (generally speaking) you do, the better.

@Pifko no turbo, but rollers yes
@danstuff yes it's a TT bike, which has got me excited. Good practical advice thanks
@umop3pisdn 'Generally speaking' is good, thanks a lot

^This. Don't start off with an extreme position though, let your body get used to this new position and then make changes if you think your body can manage it.
Maybe invest in an adjustable stem, and/or a versatile clip-ons like Zipp Vuka, which allow the pads to be stacked.

The frame potentially has a shonked BB shell, but it's nice so worth trying to save it. Will keep this in mind if I get to building it up. Thanks a lot and will keep you posted

My quite shonky planet X Stealth is here now, I'm more comfortable going slow on a bso than a cervelo to be honest.

You may like to note the my possible speakers for 'The Golden Age' meeting were also distinguished time triallists. (see General forum).

When wrapping 'tri bars' with handlebar tape which direction do you go? Or another way of putting it, which direction do your hands naturally twist when riding?

Top side outwards, I'd have thought.

• #18593
Thanks very much
-
• #18594
don't
-
• #18595
Gear cable though ¯_(ツ)_/¯
-
• #18596
don't
At least not until you've tried tapeless for a while and decided you want tape for some weird reason.
-
• #18597
Gear cable
You're doing it wrong 🙂
-
• #18598
leccy tape.
-
• #18599
@mdcc_tester not sure how I feel about drilling my carbon extensions, although would prefer internally routed. Presumably bar tape is considered less aero? I've got some thin cotton stuff but sounds like it's not Tester approved.
@umop3pisdn good call thanks. I'm applying normal (non TT) bike logic here which seems to be a mistake

leccy tape
Never a good idea.
Cheers, it's the opens in mainly interested in the calender for
As you say, the three clubs running my local weekday 10s are unlikely to change anything much.
