I see what you mean.
It's not enough to simply not be racist, homophobic or Islamophobic, especially in today's social and political climate where, as we've seen in this thread, it's accepted as an 'opinion.'
What we should be, is against it as doing nothing and accepting it as a legitimate viewpoint allows it to flourish and that also makes you an awful person.

Right. Basically, if someone says or does something racist then if you don't call them out on it you are accepting and propagating racism.
So - it's trails isn't it. Thinks are trialed and we abhor/accept them and become de sensitised to it. It goes on and on and on.
Think Trump and splitting kids from parents. He did it, retracted on it - but he has still done it, so what ever he does next we are de sensitised to his actions.
