  • These are 'glossy' black, right?

  • Yeah!

  • Well I'm already bidding on one of these on ebay, but if that doesn't work out and this is still available, I might go for it. I do have the matte FXE frame though... but I supppose after a week of commuting it's going to be dust-coated enough not to look glossy anymore anyway.

  • Is it the 300mm steerer version by any chance?

That was my exact thoughts also, I've got a Matt Black frame but I wouldn't say they are the shiniest forks tbh..

Eitherway let me know, no one has dibs on it yet!

  • No, a short one - I've got a slammed stem anyway, so I don't need more than minimal steerer length.

    Will do, thanks!

  • Question, do you happen to have a fork crown race that would go with the fork?

Also in terms of the geometry, I'm trying to figure out whether my front wheel would be further forward than with the non-Winter Alpina fork - it's hard to tell as my current fork is 'straight', but when you look closely actually it is at a slight angle to the steering column which I think effectively does the same thing as the little bend in this fork. Do you happen to know how much in front of the steering column line the dropout is?

Oh, finally, that spot visible on the last picture, is that just a point where something pointy crashed into the fork at some point, or is it just the surface, or what is it?

  • Although these have the old logo on, https://www.dolan-bikes.com/dolan-carbon-road-winter-fork-gloss-black.html it will probably give you a better idea of the geometry... it will def be at a greater angle as this fork is designed to accommodate mudguards as well.

It doesn’t come with a crown race, although most integrated headsets will include one
