Yeah maybe, the pizza rack and Fagh were probably worth more than the bike... I just had a word to the owner of a cafe right next to where my bike was locked and he said a lady from the council and some workmen removed the bike y'day! The rear wheel got pinched a fortnight ago so maybe someone reported it as abandoned, although I thought the council attached notifications on vehicles before removal?

True Phil, true... the only thing consoling me is the prospect of building up a new ratbike. Funnily enough like your Trek mine was also a MTB, this mid 90's Univega which I built into 1x10 and covered in racks, loved it. What baffles me is why anyone would nick it, they must've used a serious angle grinder to cut the lock and the surrounding bikes were more valuable & less well secured, so why mine. Suppose you're right though, simply can't leave anything outdoors you cherish.
