  • Have movement pics somewhere, but just taken these now.

Cronel Jet-King - working, keeps time within a minute if I remember correctly
Spares/repairs sold for £30, someone wants £90 in Finland for a heavily worn one.
    £50 posted in the UK?

    Citizen Eagle7 automatic
New crystal (Sternkreuz), runs fine, gains a bit less than a minute as I remember.
Prices are all over the place, like £30-60 on ebay.
    £40 posted in the UK?

I’ll even leave the DIY leather strap and the nato on them...!

  • Most of the big brands are premium enough for me hah.

The Pelagos is lovely but if I was spending that much I'd just go straight for a Speedy.

Thanks for the whisky recommendation too (and you @Sumo ). I'll give them a try and see if they change my mind.

  • Bought another fountain pen today. Pelikan M600. Expensive. But still cheaper than a new watch.....

  • Pics or it didn’t happen ;)

@ricky2slicky I’m in the same boat. Realised I could buy my grail, a Heuer Rindt if I sold all my current watches. It doesn’t end so just enjoy the ride.

  • My Saturday 2p’s worth. I have noticed a few comments about seeing nice watches and then trying them on, where people don’t like them on.
That is what happened me with the Speedmaster.
    Seems I’m not alone.

Happy 50th ejay! Be interested to see what you treat yourself to 😁

  • compulsive watch buying is a disease.
    my treatment surgery is open.

  • Thanks, its not until March but am clearing the decks in preparation.
It will be an Omega though.
I really want to be able to justify the Ploprof , but I really like the seamaster 300 as well.
Having said that I will probably end up with another Speedmaster, I have a First Omega In Space in the safe.

  • Local watch shop has a Ploprof, I think I’d need to be significantly more rugged to get away with it though.

  • I have got really girly wrists and feel comfortable with it because its so outrageous .
It doesn't feel any more over the top than some Breitling chronographs and certainly better finished i.e. less sharp angles
It actually suit me better/ feels more comfortable than the Planet Ocean GMT I very nearly bought.

  • It happened.

  • Having said all that I am trying to see if I can get the "Venice edition" Omega seamaster through the trade , as I saw it in the Boutique there and loved it, and Venice is my happy place so it would be nice to get something significant like that.
The only place you can buy it is the Venice Omega boutique.

  • Venice is best in the rain

  • When you said ‘Seamaster’, I wasn’t expecting something so dressy, really good choice.

Sharing a birth year with the moon landings I’m surprised you’re not holding out for next years’ special edition...

  • I was checking out this bracelet on a customers Hulk at work last night, it’s in a different league. Nice pen too!

  • I didn't manage to get last years moonwatch special edition so I think the chances of me getting the 50TH ANNIVERSARY !!!!! moon landings are somewhat remote.
and I probably have enough speedmasters if Im honest.
I love that Venice edition, just as I have fallen in love with Venice ( been 3 times in the last 3 years for a week each time)

  • Cor, that's a nice one. Look at that lume!

  • Where can I buy the one on the left?

  • It’s four years older than I am.

  • Did you buy this? Because if not, you should. Looks great.

  • I have not. What would be a good price?

  • Two watch observations from me today.

    1) New military watch from Timefactors. Both 36mm.

    2) I just tried one of these on. Its a bloody lovely watch. Just had some sort of wow factor that I can't put my finger on. Dare I say it, quite good value for an in house movement also. Not sure what people think of the Cartier brand now days, but this watch gave me a stiffy.

  • Original dial, hands and bezel - should ask if it’s an original movement I imagine.
