@coppiThat not sure if you're trying to jedi mind trick me into switching to a Rolex hah. You make a good point though.
Same goes for @BRM and @freddo
Thanks for the advice as always!

I feel there is a slippery slope.
Initially the thought of spending £200 on a watch seems a lot of money, then you do it.
Then you spend £1000 and think "right, that's the last watch I'll buy", after the £2500 grail watch appears and you set to buying it.
Then a collection seems a good idea. Then you discover whisky...

Luckily I hate the taste of whisky.

Im not really a whisky or spirits person. It's something I thought I would gain a pallette for as I got older but it never happened. Pretty much beer only.

Point me in the direction of something that actually tastes like the nectar of the gods (as some friends tell me some whiskys do) vs something that tastes like I've just cleaned chemical stained brushes in (pretty much everything I've tried) then I'll give it a whirl!

In my flip flopping of "affordable watch vs grail watch" this is something I'd thought about as it has the looks of a sub but in a metal that (afaik) the luxury brands never produced in.
It looks really nice. How does it wear and what does it feel like in comparison to a steel watch?

If Tudor is premium enough for you there's the Pelagos
https://www.tudorwatch.com/watches/pelagos
(Admittedly I was really keen on them until I tried one on and then went off it for some reason.)
Nice, I do prefer these earlier dials. Knit ware is the new keyboard/bike/pet.
