  • You shouldn't think of it as them just being shoved in cages and left to languish until somebody rehomes them.

    The charity will also try to find and trap the mother, plus any other kittens that might be in the vicinity, and sort out neutering and medical care for them all. They're used to doing this kind of thing and have the right facilities for it, and contacting a rescue shelter is absolutely the right thing to do.

    I do understand wanting to go out there and snaffle the little blighters yourself though :-)
