Continental Sport Contact - 42mm - £7.50 on PX. Had 2 or 3 punctures over 2,000 miles and they look quite good. Excuse the watering can...

If you get a chance, could you measure the width of these please. Also, are they the liteskin or snakeskin version?
-
• #139
Liteskin 2.35. 66mm on i45 rim, 60mm on i21.

Ta :-)

Another question. Were you planning on keeping the Chronicles that came with this bike :-)
-

I'd up for an exchange for something slimmer and faster rolling. 2.4-2.6. Or recommend me something and buy these off me.

Are they the EXO tubeless ready version?
I'm not sure what I'd recommend. I've ordered a pair of those Duroc 50 wheels for myself, and will be trying a Nobby Nic 2.6 on them. Might be a bit small for that width rim, but I'm curious to see if it ends up a bit square shaped.
Tyres wider than 2.6" are a whole new world to me, so I'm only going by internet recommendations :-)

Exo tubeless 120tpi.
I'm running 2.35 slicks on them wide rims and it's ace. Good point about mtb tires tho, cornering will suck arse. I really want the g one all round but they don't come in half fat sizes for 29er. -

Exo tubeless 120tpi
I'd certainly be interested in buying them then.
I've played about a bit with different tyre width & rim width combinations, and you can push them a little out of spec, but not too much.
Had a quick look at these, but I've read bad things about WTBs 'light' sidewalls.

I think Bontrager XR2 ( formerly Chupucabra ) are meant to be quite fast. @stedlocks seemed to like his.

WTB Ranger
Have them in 27.5+. They're shit. More rolling resistance than hookworms. Punctured 4 times on a canal path on an 8 mile commute on the first ride. But they set tubeless easily so there's that.
That reminds me. They're for sale and come with 27.5+ wheels that I took off my unit if anyone wants to buy them. -

Had chupacabras in the past. They were OK. I'll check out these new ones. Ta.

@7Üp has tried a few 29+ tyres now. Surly Knard, Vee Bulldozer, Maxxis Minion, and Panaracer Fat B Nimble. Think he's using Chronicles at the moment.

I like the chupa's, but not in mud!
My mate uses dirt wizards all year...
Actually doesn't look like the Expert or the Pro. I am confuse. Whatchoo got?
