This is literally what i've done every time I've had a battery problem. If only Motobatt had a loyalty scheme.

AGM batteries are better than gel for motorcycles. All Yuasa batteries are now AGM.
Absorbed Glass Matt ... very slow self discharge rate, lack of corrosive gas, vibration resistant & little to no spillage in case of breakage. Gel batteries can form bubbles when they're worked hard and get warm, bubbles that are impossible to get rid of and degrade output of the battery.

Picked up my first bike on Sunday!
Went down to Winchester to have a look at a SV650S. Had a look around and it seemed okay. It had definitely been dropped at some point. Sat on it and immediately didn’t want it. I’m sure I would have gotten used to it but it was a no from me.
Decided to go to a cafe after and search autotrader, eBay etc for nearby or near home bikes. Found one not too far from south London so went and had a look.
This is where I’d like to thank @PhilDAS for carting me around all day on the back of his bike.
Went and saw a Kawasaki ER6F in Bexleyheath. It was clean, had a few scratches but all round a good example. Sat on it and rode it down the road. I wanted it! Gave the bloke some money and I was on my way. Absolutely love it!

Looks great. I tested one of these after an a new SV650 and a Bandit. Really liked it, but illogically didn't want a faired bike and wasn't keen on the naked ones.
@jackbepablo - don't tempt me, I'm also trying / trying not to upsell myself a new MOSFIT rectifier!

Nice bike matey - I like these a lot more than the SV. That's going to be loads of fun, congrats.

Cheers guys. Yeah I’m very happy with it. Can’t wait to do some serious miles on it. Even commuting is fun at the moment haha. Going to enjoy the bike for a bit before I start buying modifications. Although a tail tidy might be on its way.

I'd sort a mildy fruity exhaust, loud pipes save lives etc. They sound nice too - quite reminiscent of the big bang R1s.

Sounds like a good day to me and congrats. Good time of year to buy I think as bargains can be had and you have the winter to sort any niggles before the spring. Enjoy!

This might be the worst ebay advert i've ever seen:

I love mildly fruity exhausts - I think they're what God did on the seventh day.

Yo dawg I heard you like cameraphone photos...

Oh man, congratulations. That looks like a proper banger. Totally love these and I've wanted one for ages, but opposite to you, I just didn't get along with the riding position.
So many mods available too. Definitely get a new pipe. The original really mutes the lovely pop these can make.
Congrats again, now the proper fun begins, and don't forget life savers. -

It does make a cracking sound but agree on the can muffling it. Little twists of the throttle when we were parked up had it making a sweet purr but out on the road I couldn’t hear much from him which isn’t ideal from a safety perspective. That or I just can’t hear anything else coz inline 4 under me.

Find out what buell it is, buells are great. When working properly.......
Have had the 9 and the 12. Never rated buell till a friend had a few to sell. Enjoyed them all and ended up buying two of them over time.
They go wrong in interesting ways.

Seen in many a bike advert. No idea what it is supposed to insinuate.

Well, whatever it is, I'm hoping I have that face on this coming week. Renting a 1260 multi, and if it's anything like the 950 was, I itch.

2019 triumph street twin looks pretty uninspiring
Trying hard not to upsell myself a new small gel battery.
(which seems like the proportion response to a flat battery)
