Touch it to your lips when it's been off your wrist for a while/tap it against your teeth? Glass will feel colder and harder than acrylic (though with an issue watch like that it's 99% likely to be acrylic). OTOH if you're going to get it serviced I'd imagine they'll buff up the crystal as part of that; I'd ask them not to polish the case though, as the wear is part of the watch's history.
Not sure if glass or acrylic hence wanting the pro to look at it.
