I pick stuff up without a red card all the time. I live in a block of 6 flats so if no one answers then they can’t get in the building to post the card through my door but tracking will update to show a delivery attempt. I just take my drivers licence and say I’ve seen on the tracking that there’s something for me and they’re fine with it.
I’ve even gone there on the way home and then when I get home there is a card as the posty has gotten into the close but there’s been no one in my flat and I have a sticker on my letterbox asking them to not leave anything with neighbours as the 2 nearest me, ones an alchoholic who forgets he’s taken stuff and tends to be passed out drunk by the time I get home and ones an old lady who’s had a stroke and takes about 20 minutes to get to the door so I don’t like her having to get up for my parcel.
