Yeah, I get this too. Images of being passed by one that forgets about the trailer immediately rush to mind.

So what? They're plenty wide enough. I live just off lea bridge road and the road is so busy often the only way to cross the damnned thing is to ride supposedly 'against the flow' until you get to a cycle/ped crossing. The behaviour of commuting cyclists who hurtle along there at 15mph+ sending bus passengers flying in all directions (I'm not saying you're one of these btw) leaves a lot to be desired. It's great new infrastructure but there are a few silly things that have happened especially around bus stops. therefore everyone needs to slow downa bit and chill.

I don't really agree, but if you have to I would expect as a minimum to a) be aware that there is legitimate overtaking going the right way b) to have lights c) not to abuse people using it perfectly correctly which was the combination that prompted me to moan about it.
And people riding too fast down it is a separate issue that's not exactly confined to E17. But totally agree that slowing down would make everyone a bit safer and peds a lot less worried about sharing it at bus stops.
Since I started commuting on it I've been riding my super slack, super slow town bike which you can't ride much over 10mph, it's dreamy.

pollution ("mist") was pretty horrendous today, if you can taste it you know it's bad.

Did something to my neck in the gym. If you see me staring at my back wheel you'll know why.

There is a cat in Stockwell, Larkhall Rise way, that uses the zebra crossing. It will let you know it wishes to cross by loudly meowing at length at the curb and then stepping out at the next available gap. Please allow right of way.

Didn't think it tasted particularly pollutey this morning. I came back from holiday a few weeks ago though & going from mountain air to Leeds city centre air is a huge difference. Guess I'm already used to it again.
Spent so long faffing around with mudguards this morning that it started raining on the way in. Might be worth the time this evening.

Pretty windy atm...nothing much to report aside from a Smart Car with a car sticker on the back bumper with the text "Smart Arse"
A simple joke, but still cheered me up.

The geese along regents canal are also traffic aware, always ckecking left right before crossing the path. And they stop when they see or hear a bike coming. But they do make mudguards essential.

yeah its not looking good for the weekend.
I come in from the north and around the ring road a bit, the entry to the ring road was choked and it felt terrible to breath, and along the outer of it too :-/

Should have had a nice clear video of a driver jumping a red yesterday evening had it not been for my Apeman only producing corrupt files :/
I'd just put it to 4K so back to HD it goes. -

I was letting a bus pull out of its stop/cut me up on aldwych this morning but the skip driver behind me had other ideas. He decided to absolutely smash it past me and towards the closing gap between the front of the but and the traffic island. I am so glad I stayed back and let that bus out, if I'd done what most people do and ignore buses signalling out and just overtake anyway, I would probably have ended up under that skip lorry. I need to find a better route to avoid that clusterfuck around aldwych.
