No, it was Sendean Cameras in Soho. Had never seen it before so wandered in when I was passing it. A guy in there paid £220 for a K1000 body. Eeeeeeeek. There was a Canon QL17 GIII which I quite liked the look of. $130 shipped from Japan... £295(!) in this place.

@turkish I mean, these are exceptionally expensive. We all know they aren't worth that. Still plenty of good cameras for hardly any money.

Could probably get 3 or 4 working bodies for that on ebay

Had a Nikon F801 arrive from Ffordes today for £30.

Wanted to try a Nikon AF camera out, with the added bonus of it working with manual focus F mount glass. Surprised how heavy it is, thought it'd be light and plasticy. Less camera, more self defence weapon.

(relative) bargain Mamiya 7II with 80mm on Ffordes atm, dont think it'll stay long ..

Bit of a random one, but having looked at the Riviera book (which is lovely), something rang a bell. Are you the same Stephen Hughes who put on a show c.2001/2 with some landscapes of marginal, edge-of-town places, seascapes, apartment blocks etc?

If so, I went to that show and still have the book.

I really like Ffordes. Prices are fair, super quick postage and are friendly to deal with.
Such a shame they got their Leica stuff stolen the other week.

What effect were you hoping for, out of curiosity?
