Since discovering size 26 blades I’ve never touched another 10a. The question has always been what to do with that old pack of blades in my toolbox and now, finally, I have the answer.

I cut the palm of my hand open with a scalpel once (well, the thumb muscle bit). Took ages to heal, but left hardly any scar as the constant movement breaks up a lot of the scar tissue. It made me keen on keeping scalpels on the outside of my body as much as possible. Best way to sharpen a pencil if you’re drawing with it, though.

Another cable tie mudguard bodge. Works nicely so far. Front is too tight on alpina track fork though.

I used to just flip the bike over and sit om the floor.
No stool or bungies needed. -

Why bother with a simple solution when you can improvise a complicated one though! Also this had the advantage of putting the wheel at a more convenient height :)

Yep, not an ideal fix, but the only thing I could find in work that was thin enough to fit in the gap between the mounting lug and body. The other option was to ride home with hand permanently applying pressure on the light... scalpel is currently the safest option if I want a working light, until I'm forced to buy an Edelux 2!
Still got a scar on my inside right thigh from having a scalpel blade incident many moons ago when I used to use to work on a A0 drawing board with trace... :)
