Ha! I also bailed on my plan to ride Tan Hill through as it tipped it down overnight and I couldn't see the road so I found a small hotel in Hex that would take in my soggy self.
If I've already done 2-3 600s in preceding weeks though I'm unlikely to want to push through so I'll probably do similar to what I did on Flatlands and book a hotel at the halfway point. Proper sleep means I can still drive home and won't ruin me for work and the 600 the week after. Maybe. Bit jealous I didn't find a kebab shop to sleep in!

No ride report. Got in with 45 minutes to spare. I was planning on riding straight through but the weather was fucking awful. We ended up kipping for about two hours in the upstairs storeroom of a kebab shop in Hexham. Excellent cardboard facilities. I should think the wet cardboard tastes better than their pizza.
