Gove has his own ideas of how to help people cope with shortages after Brexit
-
• #14053
Hopefully this will be a common thing in the DM come 12 Nov when the MOS editor takes over.

Mail on Sunday was Remain I seem to remember. Was a different team compared to the weekday Mail.

And the MoS editor has now replaced Dacre at the DM. Might be important by the time March comes around.
-
• #14056
Yep, although Dacre is still editor in chief of the group so who knows how that will pan out.
-
• #14057
A couple of private eye articles reckon it's already started leaning towards remain now Dacre is out the door.

to be fair I like a good rubbish dive but it's not a solution for anything.
I picture scences like you see with kids and old folk picking out recycled stuff for cash in a post brexit meltdown. -

Hah! Nice takedown.

meanwhile in NI, NI businesses have to ask the EU for info the UK won't give them.

How's a race like TCR going to work next year without FoM? Visa application in advance for every country entered? Or does EU have some kind of visa waiver programme for tourists which UK could join?

Surely the time is right for the TransCountyRace, exploring all the shires have to offer,
three weeks navigating sheep, crows and terrible drivers, racing from church spire to church spire, living off Greggs and sleeping in the doorways of long departed charity shops while the conditions range from damp to wet, and back to damp? -

Pheeew... for a moment I thought that last graphic said something about cycling helmets, but it's only something about army... food shortages... whatever, fine.

Sat Navs will stop working on a hard Brexit if they use Galileo? Good to see that the MoS is still spouting unadulterated bullshit.
-
• #14071
its called Audax
-
• #14072
I'm fairly sure that Galileo hasn't even been built yet.
-
• #14073
Lol

• #14074
That's what they want you to think.

First launch was 2011. Even my GPS watch can use it.
https://the5krunner.com/2018/06/26/garmin-935-and-galileo-935-gets-galileo/
Of course, my watch (and all Sat Navs) will still work if access was removed as they can still use the US GPS system and/or the Russian GLONASS system (assuming they were designed to talk to them already).
I don't think there's a single commercial system that is Galileo only.
That's interesting, I kind of assumed the MOS would pander to the no-deal-no-problem group of Leavers
