Apparently, RDR2 has a no-hud mode like that which changes dialogue and mission cues entirely, meaning you have to rely on your knowledge of the landscape etc to get through the game.

Considering this for the first playthrough - will certainly push the play time well over 100 hours if true.

Considered buying it to tide me over to RDR2 but i haven't even managed to play a single hour of FH4 this week so seems like a poor investment...

Had an invite to play on Google's version the other day. Guess with 5G/Fibre etc game streaming is 'the thing' though what that does for physical consoles I don't know.

I think consoles will always have a place but, if you can remove the input lag etc then streaming makes a lot of sense.

The tech behind this is supposed to calculate multiple inputs/outputs on the fly and deliver the one you end up doing rather than actually waiting for your input.

^ obviously this is not a very technical explanation...

But if it works then it could be a game changer (pun intended)

Samesies. Such immersion, wow. Fear it will go badly though, hopefully you can just toggle it in the menus as I'm pretty bad at finding my way round places.

London couriers will be so good at finding ways in RDR2.

I saw some information on this. Sounds so bloody interesting.

But to be honest for the first playthrough I can't imagine I'll be playing it like that. All too often I'm distracted by my mobile or housemate and will undoubtedly forgot where the hell I'm meant to be going only to post on here and ask for advice.

So for the sake of all our lives, I'll turn on the half immersion mode for the first play through!

There's all sorts of claims the code is a mess and not suitable for PC.
Honestly, it's bullshit. If it runs on Xbox One, it runs on PC.

have had some rum and am not doing very well at solos.

RDR2 is the kind of game I don't want to worry about my computer being able to run. My computer is good, but I have a 4k monitor and it struggles enough with simple games. The reason I like consoles is you never have to worry about stuff like that, if you buy the game, it will work.
