  • f2.8 would be way outside my price range for a zoom anyway

I highly recommend some of the original EF zooms, they're usually f3.5-4.5, USM, with a metal mount.
They're a stop faster and with a better build quality than the more recent kit zooms. Usually quite cheap too, I got my 28-105mm from mpb for <£100 last year.

  • Thanks! Will check out what’s available when I get to the States.

  • Just glanced at my Instagram suggestions and you were on there (suggested as "New to Instagram"). Out of curiosity I checked your followed/following lists and don't think there's any direct overlap - definitely some second degree connection like I'm sure people I follow follow jack etc. I don't think I was following your old account. I don't think I'm facebook friends with you or have any of your contact details... So actually quite surprised!

  • Vom. I even created a new email address for this account (instagram@mydomain.com) so that it couldn’t trawl any of my contacts. I really don’t like it. Just gonna have to get over it though aren’t I!

  • Just gonna have to stop using this shit!

  • We’ve been through this 😖 there’s no real alternative!

  • Ektar + EOS 300 w/ 50mm 1.8

  • Really like this

  • New camera day !

  • Such a handsome camera

  • That's lush.

Meanwhile I keep on carrying disposable jobbies on my holidays. I'd recommend against the £5 Argos ones though.

  • Great scenery and great colours in that first one..

  • Love these, there's a lot to be said for disposables.

  • Yeah - new japan camera hunter ones look fun.

  • @mi7rennie, Thanks , my two first impressions : heavy and noisy. The viewfinder is amazing and it's really easy to change the settings, design is very relevant.
Nice pictures @cgg ! I forgot how disposable camera shots are total different and looks nice.

  • Ektar 125 that expired in 1991. Very moody shots out of it. Not sure if I should try and base a project around this film (have 4 more rolls) or sell it on
